River City Presents Scholarship
Terri Thompson, president of the River City Council presented a $1,000 scholarship to St. Johns River State College. Small Projects Produce Big Results
Sometimes the projects that involve the least time and money can produce the biggest results. The Treasure Coast Council recently provided postage stamps so the 2nd graders at FK Sweet Magnet School in Fort Pierce could send Christmas cards to recovering soldiers at Walter Reed Medical Center.
Broward Council Provides gifts for Christmas
Once again the Broward Council provided Christmas gifts to more than 150 children in the foster care system. The council has been working with ChildNet every Christmas for more than two decades. AT&T Employees throughout the county purchase the gifts which are then picked up, sorted and delivered to ChildNet for the children.
